Frequently Asked Questions
Do the free Civo clusters carry forward when I upgrade?
Yes. The two license-free Civo clusters are a permanent baseline across all tiers. Upgrading from Starter to Business or Enterprise does not change this.
Can I use hyperscaler clusters on the Starter tier?
No. Hyperscaler clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE) require the Business tier or higher.
Do I need Business to self-host Konstruct?
Yes. Self-hosted deployments require a Business or Enterprise license.
How does vcluster pricing work?
Virtual clusters are priced at the rate of their host cloud. A vcluster running on a Civo host cluster follows Civo pricing; a vcluster on an EKS host follows hyperscaler pricing.
What happens after the 30-day free trial?
After the trial period, hyperscaler clusters begin billing at $300/mo per cluster. You can cancel or remove clusters before the trial ends to avoid charges.
