Getting Started

After logging in, you'll see the Getting Started dashboard with a checklist to guide your setup.

Setup Checklist

Hosted

Complete these steps to configure your platform on the Hosted Control Plane:

1. Sign up at konstruct.saas.civo.com — Log in with your Civo account. No installation required.

2. Create your organization and teams — Set up organizational structure and user groups. See Organizations.

3. Connect your Civo cloud account — Add your Civo API key to enable cluster provisioning. See Cloud Accounts.

4. Add a cluster template — Use a predefined Konstruct template or create a custom one. See Cluster Templates.

5. Create a management cluster — Provision your management cluster on Civo. See Management Cluster.

6. Deploy an application — Register and deploy your first application. See Applications.

Self-Hosted

Complete these steps to configure your platform on a self-hosted install:

1. Install Konstruct — Deploy Konstruct on your Kubernetes cluster via Helm. See Install.

2. Log in with kbot — Use the kbot account for your initial login and configure your identity provider. See Logging In.

3. Create your organizations and teams — Set up organizational structure and user groups. See Organizations.

4. Connect GitHub organization — Connect your GitHub organization to enable GitOps workflows. See Git Connection.

5. Create cloud accounts — Add cloud provider credentials for cluster provisioning. See Cloud Accounts.

6. Add a cluster template — Use a predefined Konstruct template or create a custom one. See Cluster Templates.

7. Create a management cluster — Provision your first management cluster. See Creating Clusters.

8. Deploy an application — Register and deploy your first application. See Applications.
