Platform Themes Pricing
This is the price of the platform, not of any one theme. Konduit, Ship It!, a generated one-off, your team's custom internal tool — every platform theme is a window onto the same platform, and they all cost the same to use: you buy resources for your organization, and your apps draw from that pool. There are no per-environment charges, no per-app fees, no per-theme fees, and no tiers to decode.

production,staging,blorp— as many as your team needs. An environment is an isolation boundary, not a line item. - Resources are bought at the organization level. One shared pool of vCPU and memory; every environment and every app draws from it.
- Your first 2 vCPU, 2 GB of memory, and 10 GB of storage are included, free. Enough to ship your first apps and keep them running. Pricing only kicks in beyond that.

Prices are in USD. Monthly rates assume a 730-hour month; partial months are metered hourly, so an app that runs for a week costs a week's worth. The service fee is flat per organization — not per seat — so your whole team is in for $20. And it's waived for your first month: when you add a payment method, the fee doesn't start until month two.
Hosted and self-hosted cost the same
Platform Themes is priced identically whether Civo hosts it for you or you run it yourself: the same $20/mo service fee, the same resource rates, the same free tier. The only infrastructure charge is standard Konstruct cluster licensing for the clusters it takes to run Konstruct and Platform Themes — and since every account's first two Civo clusters are license-free forever, most teams run the whole platform without a cluster license at all.
What an app draws from the pool
Every app has a size. The size determines how much of your organization's pool it consumes — and therefore what it costs to run for a month:

Every theme picks a default app size in its register form. A theme that defaults to xs and a theme that defaults to m deliver the same one-click experience — at a 3× difference in what each app draws from your pool. If your team ships a lot of apps, the default size of the theme you standardize on is the single biggest lever on your bill.
The free tier
There is exactly one free tier, and every organization starts on it:
- 2 vCPU + 2 GB memory + 10 GB storage included — free forever
- No service fee while you stay inside the included allowance
- App sizes xs and s
Organizations without a payment method are capped at the included allowance. Add a payment method to grow the pool beyond it and unlock the m and l sizes — the $20/mo service fee starts there (first month waived), and the included 2 vCPU / 2 GB / 10 GB baseline stays free, even as you scale past it.

Four teams, real math. Paid organizations pay the $20/mo service fee plus the pool their apps draw beyond the included 2 vCPU + 2 GB (and 10 GB of storage). Team size never changes the bill — the fee is per org, not per seat.

How billing works
- The organization is the billing entity — never the individual user. A user can belong to many organizations; each org gets its own invoice.
- Every environment draws from one pool. There is no per-environment budget to manage — the Included usage bar (on your Konduit home, or in any theme that surfaces it) shows the whole org's position at a glance.
- Usage is metered hourly against your apps' allocated sizes, so scaling down or deleting an app stops its spend within the hour.
- Cost visibility is built in. Chargeback rollups per environment and per cost center are available through the platform API, and every platform theme reads prices from the same rate card — the price you see in any theme is the price.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay for environments? No. Environments are free and unlimited. You pay only for the resources your apps draw.
What happens when I hit my pool limit? Registering an app that doesn't fit is rejected with a clear message — nothing is silently charged. Grow the pool or right-size an app, then ship.
Is egress really free? Yes.
Does self-hosting cost less? No — and it doesn't cost more, either. The service fee and resource rates are identical hosted and self-hosted. The only difference is who runs the clusters underneath, and those are charged as ordinary Konstruct cluster licenses either way.
Do I pay per user? No. The $20/mo service fee is per organization, with unlimited users.
When does the service fee start? Your second month. The fee is waived for the first month after you add a payment method — you pay only for resources beyond the free tier while you settle in.
Does the price differ between Konduit and custom themes? No. Every theme — Konduit, Ship It!, your own custom theme — reads from the same organization rate card. Same platform, same prices, by construction. Themes never carry their own price list.
